Originally reserved exclusively for Japanese participants, Freely Online opened its doors to Europe for the first time in 2024.
On this occasion, two young French athletes, Lou and Ibrahim, were the first Europeans to take part in this battle. Let’s explore their journey and their unique approach to double dutch.

Lou started double dutch just one year ago at the Ropestylers Academy Mondeville club. Opened only a few months ago, this club located in the Calvados region focuses on a creative and artistic approach to double dutch, centered on recreation and personal expression.
Despite her short experience in the discipline, Lou is also part of the Jumpulse collective, an active group working to develop and popularize double dutch in the Normandy region.
She took part in Freely Online 2024 in the Challenge category, an ideal division for beginners and intermediate practitioners looking to discover and progress within an artistic style specific to the Freely format.
Ibrahim – Grizzly de Paris
Ibrahim has been practicing double dutch and single rope for seven years at the prestigious Grizzly club in Paris, located in the 15th arrondissement.
Historically focused on academic competitions, the club has successfully diversified its approach over the past two years by also excelling in contests, competitions that highlight the artistic and choreographic dimension of double dutch.
The Grizzly club of Paris, led by talented athletes such as Ibrahim, has already won several national and international titles, confirming their versatility and expertise across all facets of the discipline.
Ibrahim took part in Freely Online 2024 in the Advanced category, where he had the opportunity to compete against the best U15 jumpers from Japan. He was judged by professional jumper Ayuka from the Fly Diggers group, a multiple-time champion of Double Dutch One’s, currently recognized as the world’s largest 1v1 double dutch battle.
By participating in Freely Online 2024, Ibrahim was able to showcase his experience and talent in a different format, focused on expression and creativity, marking another step in his rich career as a jumper.
Lou and Ibrahim represent the diversity and energy of French double dutch, proving that talent can emerge in many different forms.
From an artistic and recreational approach to a highly technical mastery recognized in competition.
